Project Updates

Published on May 19, 2012, by in Thoughts.

It’s been a hectic 11 days since I posted my goals for all the world to see, and it looks like someone wants me to make those goals come true!  Simple Articles passed it’s goal for June 1 already and it’s only May 19, so I’m ecstatic about that!  I’ve also have no complaints from any of the customers, so hopefully that means I did a good job!  I did get back some very positive feedback and even a second order from two of the clients, so I know I’m on the right track there. Mini-Niche Sites Revisited I’ve also

Goal Setting

I think it’s time I put some stuff in writing so that I can hold myself accountable and, more importantly, YOU can hold me accountable as well. I am currently working on three different projects.  One is my articles business, Simple Articles, which I have revived from last year and is now starting to really pick up steam.  I’ve already had to dig my fabulous co-writer, Laurel, out of hiding so that I can keep up with the demand.  If it keeps going as is, it’s already generating more income than my full-time job (and with a lot less headaches).

Updates & More Updates

Published on April 30, 2012, by in Updates.

So I spent some time this past weekend looking at the site here and I realized I just didn’t like it at all.  I had found a designer on WordPress.org that I really liked, and I’ve even used one of their themes on one of my two sites that I’m building.  So I took a few minutes tonight and looked at their other themes and I decided to give this one a shot.  I really like it, and it’s really flexible.  If you’re interested in using it, search for the CyberChimps Response theme. On other notes, I noticed that my

New Experiment

It’s a new record for me. I’ve been quiet for 10 days now, biding my time, reading, learning, and trying to figure things out.  I didn’t give up on the WF or on AdSense as I had previous posted, and I decided I wasn’t going to give up on either one of them.  I like the community in the WF, and AdSense is never going away.  It just takes perseverance and perspective in order to see the bigger picture. I spent a few days keyword mining and then lucked up and found an awesome keyword that’s in a niche that I’m

Information Overload

When someone is new to a field, any field really, they tend to be timid and seek refuge behind instruction manuals and such.  They will dedicate their work schedule to reading all of the pamphlets, forums, books, and newsletters that they can find in order to become an expert on a topic. Two months later, they have formed a concrete habit of wasting time.  At this point, some of those people will wake up and realize that they are not working and not even training themselves for success; instead, they are actually prolonging their failures and learning nothing from them.

Giving Up on the Warrior Forum & Maybe AdSense, too?

Published on April 16, 2012, by in Thoughts.

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about something I’d put on the Warrior Forum.  That post got almost 2K views and over 70 comments and was going strong.  People were enjoying reading it, and it was turning into a very popular post.  I went offline for a few hours one night to do some work for my college classes, and when I checked back around midnight, my thread had a little lock symbol on it. Inexplicably, a moderator had marked it as closed.  No reasons were given and there is no way to re-open a thread, so it

What’s Going On With Me?

Published on April 3, 2012, by in Thoughts.

So it’s been a few days since I last posted to the site, and it’s been really busy with all kinds of non-work-related stuff.  I celebrated my birthday last week and went to see Chris Daughtry in Atlanta.  Great concert, but not as good as when he plays Greensboro, NC.  (That’s his “home” coliseum.)  The opening band was a group called Safety Suit (non-affiliate link to iTunes) and they really rocked the house.  You should search for them on YouTube singing “Halleleujah” and just sit back and watch. I’m also prepping a new site to launch.  Whereas with this site,

What Drives Me Crazy About “Internet Marketers”

Published on March 21, 2012, by in Things NOT To Do.

Alright, this is getting to me.  Last night, right around midnight Eastern time, I put up a thread in the WF titled “What the @#$% Are You People Doing???” and then I went to bed in it.  It’s become an overnight sensation.  As of the time of me writing this post, it already has 500 hits and 20+ replies, and no telling how many people have clicked my “thank you” button to let me know they appreciated the post as well. The popularity has astounded me.  I really just expected to get banned from the WFs. You know what it’s

Smackdown in the Warrior Forum!

Published on March 20, 2012, by in Things NOT To Do.

Alright folks, in the tried and true tradition of ME, I went out and screwed up something this morning.  Luckily it didn’t cost me anything besides about 30 minutes of my time, but I figure that I’ll share it with you here to hopefully keep you from doing it yourself! Since I’m getting back in the IM game again, I decided I’d better dust off my Warrior Forum profile and start to re-establish myself.  Since getting into a huge war with a very large and prominent Internet Marketing “guru” (aka wannabe) last year, I’ve let my account go dormant.  Believe

Getting Back in the Game Again

Published on March 11, 2012, by in Thoughts.

Alright folks, it’s high time I became active again. I’ve taken the last six months off to focus on college and I’ve discovered something: I’m not the type of guy who really needs to focus. HAHAHA! While I was doing absolutely nothing online, I did keep right on with my research in different ways to make money online so I’d know what was going on.  I knew I’d eventually want to come back and start doing things again, and I was right!  Over in the ride sidebar you’ll see a listing of my favorite sites to read up on.  I’ve
